Glue and Glue Release

Titebond® Wood Glue
For more than 65 years, Franklin has been the industry leader in bonding wood and wood products. Their history of innovation started in 1935 with Liquid Hide Glue, a ready-to-use formula that revolutionized the woodworking industry. In 1955, Franklin again set the standard with the development of the first aliphatic resin glue, Titebond® Original Wood Glue. Titebond® II Premium Wood Glue (1991) was the first one-part Type II water-resistant glue. Franklin International is proud to continue our tradition of excellence with the introduction of our first truly waterproof wood glue - Titebond® III Ultimate Wood Glue.

Titebond® Original Wood Glue

Titebond® Original is an extremely fast-setting, high-quality aliphatic resin emulsion adhesive. It dries very rapidly to give a short clamp time and has high solvent-resistance.

Titebond® Original is excellent for sandable, general purpose assembly for particle board, MDF, plywood and other porous materials as well as edge and face gluing of hardwoods and softwoods. It is preferred by musical instrument makers around the world.

As the industry standard for woodworking, it provides a strong initial tack and fast speed of set to reduce clamp time. It also develops a bond stronger than the wood itself while offering excellent sandability and is unaffected by finishes.

Titebond® Original can help any woodworker achieve professional-looking results. It is ideal for wood, hardboard, particleboard, leather, cloth and most other porous materials. Titebond® Original is easy to use, non-toxic and cleans up with water.

Titebond® III Ultimate Wood Glue

Titebond® III Ultimate Wood Glue is an Advanced Proprietary Polymer adhesive.  This premier adhesive has excellent creep and heat-resistance, superior solvent-resistance, very low minimum use temperature, and excellent bond strength.

The first one-part, non-toxic, solvent free and cleans up with water - safer to use than traditional waterproof wood glues. The waterproof formula passes the ANSI/HPVA Type I water-resistance specification and offers superior bond strength, longer open assembly time and lower application temperature.

Titebond® III provides strong initial tack, sands easily without softening and is FDA approved for indirect food contact (cutting boards). The ultimate in wood glues - ideal for both interior and exterior applications. Titebond® III Ultimate Wood Glue is an excellent choice for edge and face gluing as well as general assembly of a wide variety of wood species.
